Ever heard of HubSpot Creators? If not, you’re missing out on a mega-opportunity that could propel your podcast into the stratosphere! The program, pioneered by HubSpot, is designed to help content creators (like you!) get their work in front of a larger audience and drive some serious growth! In this article, we’ll dive into everything you need to know about HubSpot Creators, from what the program entails, to how it can mold you into a top-tier podcaster.!
I do need to say, this article is in no way sponsored or affiliated with Hubspot. This is simply a resource that I think every podcaster should know about. My hope is this article will provide you with the pro’s and con’s of the program so that you can make your own decision.
Hi, I’m Lloyd. I’m a Zimbabwean American Podcaster & I enjoy creating content for aspiring podcasters. I use my platform to inform and encourage creators to start their first podcast. I’ve created a community of over 11K aspiring podcasters.
What is HubSpot Creators?
HubSpot Creators is a new program from HubSpot that provides tons of resources and support for podcasters through their exclusive podcast network. The program offers access to elite training and coaching from HubSpot experts. It also provides members with a community of like-minded creators to learn from and connect.
Each quarter, eight podcasters are selected to be in the program, per PR Newswire.
Why HubSpot Creators?: The Benefits
HubSpot Creators reward creatives in more ways than one. Not only do you get access to valuable resources and training, but creators also receive a monetary investment in the form of host pay and marketing dollars. Hubspot hasn’t confirmed this but we have reason to believe they provide at least $1,000 per month in creator support. These funds help offset the costs of producing your podcast and reward your efforts as a quality creator. You’ll also get operational support to handle all the backend stuff so you can focus on creating. What more could you ask for?
How the HubSpot Creator Program Works for Creators
After being accepted into the program, you’ll start at the “seed” level, which is the lowest possible tier for creators. In this tier, you’ll receive a $5,000 infusion payment (According to Techcrunch) to get you started. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your podcast and move through the next levels: Series A, Series B, and Series C. With each level, you’ll gain access to more support, more pay, and more opportunities!
To sign up, you’ll go to the HubSpot Creators Application page and enter information about yourself and your podcast. Here’s some of the information they’ll be looking for:
- Your name and contact information.
- The name of your podcast, its logline, and URL.
- The link to your best episode.
- Your social handles.
- Information about your listeners and download numbers.
The application should take you no more than a few minutes to complete.
Who Should Join the HubSpot Podcast Creators Program?
The HubSpot Creators program is for podcasters who are passionate about their craft and want to take their podcast to the next level. The podcasters chosen will be those who have an edge – a fresh, unique, angle that pulls listeners in again and again.
Just be aware that by participating in the program, you give HubSpot a perpetual license to make changes to your show and piggyback off of it with derivative works.
Why I Applied to HubSpot’s Podcast Creator Program
Transparently, I applied to the HubSpot Creators program because I want my podcast to grow to its full potential. Similar to most podcasters, my hope is that I can focus on the creative elements of my podcast while getting financial and operational support. I also spoke to a few people that are currently in the program and they had nothing but positive things to say about the program.
