How to Be a Guest

SquadCast provides the easiest experience for your guests to join remote recording sessions. No downloads or account creation required.

1

Check your web browser

The latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Brave, & Edge all support SquadCast, while Safari does not yet.

2

Find a quiet environment

Record in quiet places where noise is minimized. Prioritize your connection to SquadCast by closing other tabs, apps, and devices. If your network disconnects, everything will be fine. Click the gold Reconnect button to continue recording.

3

Set up your equipment

Internal Microphones will work, but External Microphones are recommended to record quality audio. Headphones are highly recommended to eliminate echo. Cameras are optional, but help with non-verbal communication for sessions during video recordings.

4

Join the session

Your Host will provide you with a Guest link to join the recording session directly, or via an email from SquadCast. Allow browser permissions and click the gold Join Session button.

5

Enter the green room

Review and prepare in the Green Room before formally entering the recording session. Click the Check Equipment & Connection button to record 7 seconds of test audio and video. Don't worry, this preview won't be saved anywhere, as it is simply to verify that everything is ready for recording.

6

Create remote content

The latest version of SquadCast has spacialized audio powered by Dolby, making in session conversations sound and feel like they're sonically in the same room while recording together.
