The app will start prompting that your recording time is getting low. However, your recording session will not be interrupted if time runs out. Instead, there is a grace period and you will be asked to add recording time to your account, at a rate of $5 per additional hour.

Unused recording time rolls over automatically in your account. The rollover limit is twice the number of monthly recording hours included in your plan.

Roles are assigned to each of the team members within a show.
Owner - Designated by a badge to indicate they are the owner of the organization
Org Admin - Manage all shows and teams in the organization
Show Manager - Manage the session details and team members of the designated show
Show Talent - Participate in sessions of the designated show
File Manager - Retrieve and download the session’s recordings of the designated show

Yes, you can message other participants as a group, or in an individual one-on-one message. These chats will remain in the session after it ends, but they will not appear in the final recording.

Yes, you can record any number of sessions for any number of shows, so long as it falls within your plan’s available recording time. Shows are simply a way to keep your recordings organized, managed, and branded within your account.

In addition to the host seat, all plans can have 10 Mainstage participants, plus 10 in Backstage.

You are now able to add artwork and a text description for each of your recordings. This will make it easier to search through past sessions, and you can “Favorite” them to reuse those details and guest invites as presets for future recordings.

Add a logo for your organization, and select the team that you’re a part of to see all sessions. Use the new Search and Favorite functions to cleanly view the sessions you wish to see.

You can now have participants join your recording session in the backstage, where they will not be mic’ed up or on camera, they will not take up a on-stage seat, and they will be able to communicate with others via chat. This feature is great for PR, attorneys and more.

SquadCast records all participants in a recording session locally in separate tracks and automatically uploads the files to the SquadCast cloud. Once you are done recording, the Host can download all audio/video files directly from SquadCast in wav, mp4, webm and mp3 format.

A session can have up to 10 people total: 1 Host + up to 9 Guests.

The latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Brave, and Edge all support SquadCast.

Video is always optional and can be blocked all together or toggled off in the session.

Guests do not need an account to join a recording session, nor do they need to download any programs. The intuitive interface makes joining a session a breeze. Learn more about How to Join as a Guest

Headphones are not required, but we highly recommend them to eliminate the chance for echo. External mics are not needed, but recommended as well.

SquadCast records 48 kHz sample rate and 16-bit depth audio files in wav format. Also available in mp3 format. And video records at up to 1080p at 30fps mixed with audio in mp4, and available in webm format.

We recommend a network speed range of approximately 5-10 mbps up and down. A few things to help with a slower network speed are to disable video and/or hard wire connection instead of WiFi.

The number of participants in a recording session has no impact of the recording time purchased. For example, if 3 people record 1 hour together, only 1 hour will be withdrawn from your account.
